Special Prayer Service of Blessed Memory of His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius

Give rest, O Lord, to the souls of Your servants who have fallen asleep

2nd year memorial services of our Holy Father His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas at Western Archdiocese’s churches.
His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan, with His Eminence Mor Titus Paulos Tooza, Archbishop of the missionary in Brazil who celebrated the Holy Divine Liturgy on the Second Sunday of the Great Lent at St. Thomas Church, San Jose, on Sunday March 20, 2016, at 11 am, then in the same day at 6:30 pm, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. Behnam church, Sacramento.

During both Divine Liturgy their eminences in their sermons spoke on the Sunday Gospel reading and St. Ephrem the entire church doctor and a special prayers of 2nd year of the loving and blessed memory of His Holiness the Patriarch Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, who entered eternal life in March 21, 2014 was held. The memory that is not going to fade away.

May the memory of His Holiness, Patriarch Ignatius Zakka Iwas be eternal, and his prayers be with us.

It was established in 1952 as the Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church encompassing the entire United States and Canada. In November 1995 by the Holy Synod, the Western Archdiocese was formed to exclusively serve the 17 states of the western half United States.
