The periodic meeting of the priests of the Archdiocese of the Western USA local churches

The clergy of the Archdiocese of Western USA convened for their periodic meeting on October 10, 2023. The meeting held at St. Ephraim Cathedral meeting room, Burbank, brought together priests from various local churches within the Archdiocese.

On the occasion of the fallen asleep of the Very Rev. Fr. Abdulahad Shara on Monday 09, 2923, the clergy of the Archdiocese held the prayer led by His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene, which related to the departed faithful priests, asking our merciful Lord to receive him with His rich mercies in His paradise. May God rest his spirit in abodes of light.

His Eminence opened the session with a special prayer. Then, His Eminence began by welcoming everyone. Rev. Fr. Elias Sattah read chapter 6 of St. Paul the Apostle to the Romans. His Eminence opened the discussion, and all attended clergy exchanging ideas.

The meeting's agenda included discussions on various items and topics relevant to the clergy's pastoral responsibilities and sacraments of baptism and matrimony Rites, elements of the host, entrance of the child to the altar in 40 days, saints' and Lord's feasts, participation in other denominations' rites, suspended priests' situation, departure of Very Rev. Fr. A. Shara to the eternal life and forming the Western Archdiocese Youth Administrative Committee.

During the meeting, His Eminence delivered an inspiring keynote address on the above items. The meeting was a forum for productive conversations to deepen the clergy's connection with their church tradition.

The meeting ended with a closing prayer from His Eminence. Everyone enjoyed the gathering and the lunch offered on this occasion. Under the leadership of His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan, the meeting emphasized the importance of fostering unity among the clergy and strengthening their collective mission to serve the faithful.
