New Priest for St. Gabriel church, Dallas, TexasAugust,6 2019On Saturday, August 03, 2019, His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan celebrated the holy Divine Liturgy at St. Gabriel Church, Dallas, TX. Assisted by very Rev. Fr. Bashar Alshamany, priest of St. Ephrem, Houston, TX. and Rev. Fr. Abdulmasih Abdo, priest of St. Bahnam and his sister Sara Church, Sacramento, CA. During the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence ordained deacon Fady S. Butto, priest to St. Gabriel congregation of Dallas. In his sermon, the archbishop instructed the newly ordained priest and the faithful to help each other for the growth of the church. In the same time, the ordained priest in his speech gave thanks to His Holiness the patriarch of Antioch and His Eminence the Metropolitan of the Western Archdiocese, the USA, and all metropolitans and clergy who helped him in Iraq and USA to be ready for this holy priesthood, and all attendees from other churches.
At the church hall, the Agaby meal followed the ordination to all attendees.

The Western Archdiocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch,
providing spiritual guidance and leadership to the Syriac Orthodox
community, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization
comprised of 18 churches and parishes in 17 western states. It was
established in 1952 as the Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church
encompassing the entire United States and Canada. In November 1995 by
the Holy Synod, the Western Archdiocese was formed to exclusively
serve the 17 states of the western half United States.
