With complete submission to the will of God, with great sorrow, the Archdiocese of the Western US. announces the passing of Very Reverend Fr. Antonio Jarada, Priest of St. Georgs church, Zaidal, Homs, Syria.
Very Rev. Fr. Antonio Jarada passed away at Semi Valley, on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 73 years old.

His Eminence Archbishop Clemis Eugene Kaplan, the clergy and faithful of the Western Archdiocese, offer their heartfelt condolences to His Eminence Mor Timotheos Matta Alkhoury, parishioners of St. Georges church in Zaidal that he served, and especially his spiritual brothers, the Reverend Clergy of the Archdiocese of Homs, Hama, and Tartous, as well as his family members, and relatives and numerous friends.
May God rest his spirit in peace with those who fulfilled His will on earth, Amen.

The Western Archdiocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch,
providing spiritual guidance and leadership to the Syriac Orthodox
community, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization
comprised of 18 churches and parishes in 17 western states. It was
established in 1952 as the Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church
encompassing the entire United States and Canada. In November 1995 by
the Holy Synod, the Western Archdiocese was formed to exclusively
serve the 17 states of the western half United States.
