Suryoyo Day was hosted by St. Elias the ProphetAugust,29 2022Under the auspices of His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan, St. Elias the Prophet church hosted the Suryoyo Day, local churches' Youth organizations. It was Organized by the committee led by Very Rev. Fr. Saliba Kassis at the newly purchased building of St. Elias Church, Rancho Cucamonga. His Eminence Archbishop Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan presided over the Suryoyo Day, which began with an opening prayer held by His Eminence at the church, followed by his speech on the gathering theme, "So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." (Genesis 1:27).
The Suryoyo Day started on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. The agenda included Prayers and lectures led by Very Rev. Fr. Saliba Kassis and seminarian Subdeacon Imad Syryany, each lecture followed by a discussion. Also, the event included games.
The church provided breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
May God bless all those who put effort, sacrificed their time, and assisted in making this event successful under the guidance and supervision of the St. Elias Youth Committee led by Very Rev. Fr. Saliba Kassis.

The Western Archdiocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch,
providing spiritual guidance and leadership to the Syriac Orthodox
community, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization
comprised of 18 churches and parishes in 17 western states. It was
established in 1952 as the Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church
encompassing the entire United States and Canada. In November 1995 by
the Holy Synod, the Western Archdiocese was formed to exclusively
