Clergy, Sunday School, and Jr Youth Leaders meeting

On Saturday, September 10th, the Western Archdiocese held a Clergy, Sunday School, and Jr Youth Leaders meeting at St Ephraim Syriac Orthodox Cathedral in Burbank, California. The meeting was under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan. Churches from Southern California were represented during this blessed gathering. We were also blessed with the presence of His Eminence Mor Yacub Eduardo Aguirre, Archbishop of Central America Archdiocese. He presented a lecture on "Understanding the Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant Churches."

During the meeting, topics of discussion were --

a) The Sunday School curriculum for Kindergarten through Fifth grade as well as other church pamphlets and booklets
b) The Archdiocese Camp that took place in June
c) The importance of the clergy - teachers - families communicating together to build a strong Christian foundation for the children.
d) Question and Answer session with the clergy

Everyone enjoyed lunch and being together through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We look forward to another Clergy, Jr Youth, and Sunday School Leaders meeting soon. May the Lord bless all churches, teachers & families as the beginning of the new Sunday School program year is upon us.
