Elevation of Rev. Fr. Fadi Y. Atto to the Rank of KhuroyoNovember,1 2022Following St. Thomas church consecration on Saturday, the day after on Sunday, October 30, 2022, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II celebrated the Holy Divine Liturgy at the same St. Thomas church in El Cajon, California.
His Holiness was assisted by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan, Patriarchal Vicar for the Archdiocese of the Western USA, and Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
During the Holy Qurobo, His Holiness elevated the priest of the church Rev. Fr. Fadi Y. Atto, to the rank of Khuroyo. After elevation, Very Rev. Fr. Fadi thanked His Holiness for his love and support to all the faithful of the church parish. He also expressed gratitude to His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan for his love and pastorship mission. May our good Lord bless his ministry and make it fruitful.
On the same day evening, at 7:30, His Holiness the patriarch, accompanied by the bishops and clergy, attended the banquet prepared in honor of His Holiness the patriarch.

The Western Archdiocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch,
providing spiritual guidance and leadership to the Syriac Orthodox
community, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization
comprised of 18 churches and parishes in 17 western states. It was
established in 1952 as the Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church
encompassing the entire United States and Canada. In November 1995 by
the Holy Synod, the Western Archdiocese was formed to exclusively
serve the 17 states of the western half United States.
